Composer’s Note:

In the northern hemisphere, the June or Summer Solstice heralds the day in the year with the most daylight.The sun will sit the highest and longest in the sky on this day which led ancient astronomers came to know the day as one where the sun stands still. While the astrological history of this day is fascinating, to us today the solstice marks the happy promise of sun, warmth, and fun for the months to come.
